Ummatore is a registered non-governmental
organisation (NGO) with an entrepreneurial mindset within our community to help
create sustainable start-ups for rapid economic growth in the surrounding
community and the nation at large.
Ummatore is an Innovation and training center, situated at NITDA RIT Center, Dukku. Dukku LGA of Gombe State.
CHALLENGES
The
employment situation in Nigeria largely mirrored recent global trends. The rate
of unemployment is always increasing in our community and the nation at large. Government alone can’t addressed the
problem, we must rise and do it all together.
Today even with your certificate it is hard to get
Job for living, but with skills I assure you that it is not you that will go
after the jobs, the jobs will come after you. We must shift focus from certification to skills. The
problems we are facing didn’t stop at unemployment alone, the employees
themselves are getting threatened of losing their job due to lack of skills.

Using technology to facilitate and
catalyze innovation, entrepreneurial development and business success that
fosters sustainable economic growth in Nigeria. To focus on a social impact
projects that will affect the surrounding community.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Despite the challenges along the path, Ummatore was able to record some number of achievements;
- Over 100 trainees within four (4) sessions who are digitally certified
- Training of sponsored trainees by Commissioner of Science, Technology and Innovation Hon. Aishatu Umar Maigari
- Training of Sponsored Trainees under National Directorate of Employment (NDE)
- Developing and Managing Students’ Database of National Association of Dukku Students (NADS)
- Organizing and hosting a two-day seminar on Cyber security and Blockchain with over 30 participants certified
- FREE Digital Skills Empowerment (Still ongoing), Full session FREE Basic training for orphans and less privileged
- FREE Women Empowerment on essential digital skills (Still ongoing), etc.
